The values born of a small Midwestern town where people know their neighbor, look out for them, and care for them when they need help, are the values that shape Michels Corporation. These concepts are carried through to the way Michels does business; treating a customer in the same manner that we wish to be treated. These concepts were recently articulated in our Code of Business Ethics.

We are focused on protecting the environment in which we work; care for the natural resources and environmental compliance are more than window-dressing at Michels. We commit significant resources through Michels Environmental Resource Group to ensure compliance on all jobs, but we look beyond that for ways to simply lessen the impact on our environment in all the ways that we work.

Michels Corporation supports many endeavors through charitable works contributing to, for example, industry associations’ scholarship programs, capital support to educational facilities and programs, and many local events that are in the communities in which we live and work.

Through commitment and action Michels is at the forefront of business responsibility and stewardship. It is part of who we are and has been since we started doing business over 50 years ago.

Michels has always upheld the standards of Corporate Social Responsibility – conducting business in a socially responsible and ethical way, safeguarding the health and safety of people, protecting the environment, supporting human rights, and engaging and respecting the communities and cultures we live and work with. This corporate mantra was formalized in the addition of our Corporate Social Responsibility report. We are proud of what we have accomplished and the commitment that we have and hope that others may learn and benefit from them. We will use this report as a means of tracking our performance on the above issues.
