Michels is proud to be at the forefront of teaching the importance of mining aggregates to Wisconsin communities and to the next generation. Michels takes the lead in educating the public through its annual event Quarry Quest, the nation’s largest one-day quarry experience.

Each year, Michels’ quarry in Neenah, Wis. is transformed into a giant educational playground for children of all ages to learn about mining and the role that earth materials have in everyday life. Quarry Quest is Michels’ “school without walls,” and is one of the most recognized and popular family events in Northern and Central Wisconsin. The event provides an opportunity to educate the community about the construction and aggregate industry, while raising money for children’s charities throughout the area.
