It is the policy of Michels Corporation that every employee is entitled to a safe and healthful workplace. When a person enters the employ of our company, he or she has a right to expect to be provided with a proper place in which to work, as well as proper machines and tools with which to do the job, to enable devotion of his or her energy to the work without undue danger.

Our desire and intention is to provide a safe workplace, safe equipment and proper materials to establish and maintain safe methods and practices at all times.

It is a basic responsibility for all to make safety of human beings a part of their daily concerns. This responsibility must be accepted by each one who conducts the affairs of the company, regardless of the capacity in which he or she functions.

Employees are expected to use the safety equipment provided. Rules of conduct and rules of safety shall be observed. Safety equipment must not be destroyed or abused.

The joint cooperation of employees and management in the observance of this policy will provide safe working conditions and accident-free performance to our mutual advantage.

We consider the safety of our personnel to be of first importance.

Michels maintains a dedicated full time safety staff. According to the Safety Team, safety is everyone’s responsibility at Michels. Management and all levels of supervision are responsible and accountable for safety on the job. But the individual employee is the most important factor in running a safe job. Safety must be first and foremost on our minds every minute we spend, whether on a jobsite or at home. We need to be productive and work safe to stay in business, and through a balance of both we will continue to be a leader in the construction field.
