Michels’ fleet of advanced vertical drilling machines is capable of drilling holes in diameters of more than 12 feet and to depths of more than 120 feet. Our equipment and expertise allow us to work in virtually any subsurface condition, including clay, sand, high water tables, sensitive wetlands, and difficult terrains where there is limited access or matting requirements. Furthermore, Michels has the experience and ability to drill underwater, including the use of slurry drilling. We also have a great deal of experience in extreme rock drilling, such as hard granite, through the use of specialized tooling such as downhole hammers, core barrels, rock augers, and roller bits.
We have committed a substantial investment into a large assortment of drill tooling, which includes: core barrels, temporary steel casing, rock and dirt augers, rock hammers, and vibratory hammers. This tooling, along with our experienced professional drilling staff, gives us the ability to tackle any obstacle we face and deliver a complete foundation.
