'Amazing' event combines teamwork and fundraising
Teams members worked together filling the wheel barrow to complete a challenge.
Michels employees' skills are tested on job sites every day, but 48 of our people gathered after work on Sept. 25 to take on a more unique set of challenges during Michels Amazing Race - Brownsville.
Twelve teams worked together to solve clues and navigate seven fun activities at sites throughout Brownsville. They assembled wheelbarrows, dressed in job-specific safety equipment, counted money and even completed the daunting task of tossing golf balls into buckets - all while raising more than $400 for the Michels Relay for Life team.
“Michels' team members are known for having a great work ethic and taking pride in exceeding expectations,” said Amy Jessen, who coordinated the Michels Amazing Race. “But what people don't always know is that we are just as dedicated in coming together to have a great time and help our community.”
