Excitement in the neighborhood
When assembling and trenchlessly installing a 1,500-foot, 24-inch diameter natural gas pipeline over a two-month span in a residential neighborhood in Minnesota, a Michels Corporation crew made time to tell residents exactly what they were doing. That consideration didn’t go unnoticed by the residents, who wrote to Michels’ customer to compliment the crew for keeping residents informed, being friendly and not damaging a garden.
The Michels crew assembled the pipeline between houses and across a road before using Horizontal Directional Drilling to pull it into place underground.
“This pipeline project kept the whole neighborhood entertained,” the resident wrote.
