Michels adds Ground Improvement services
Michels has added Ground Improvement services to our Deep Foundations and Earth Retention offerings.
Mike Minton, P.E., a 20-year veteran of the geotechnical engineering and contracting industry, has joined Michels as Senior Manager to lead our Ground Improvement technologies group. He will focus on design-build geotechnical solutions, including Aggregate Piers, Rigid Inclusions and Grouting. Mike has guided Ground Improvement projects in the Midwest for the past 10 years. He is based out of Michels’ office in Montgomery, IL, and will oversee projects throughout the United States.
The Michels foundation group serves the energy, heavy highway and building trade industries by designing and building deep foundations, earth retention and marine construction solutions. Our in-house engineering staff ensures technically sound, cost-effect solutions for complex deep projects.
“Adding Ground Improvement services is another way we can provide our customers with the quality and safety performance they expect from Michels,” said Senior Vice President Dan Gellings. “Complex projects require a contractor with local knowledge and a wide skill set. We are pleased to offer both.”
Michels is an industry-leading infrastructure and energy contractor ranked 27th on ENR’s list of the top 400 contractors in the United States.
