Michels donates $15,000 to Salvation Army
The Fond du Lac Salvation Army’s decision to double its Red Kettle Bucket Brigade efforts inspired Michels Corporation to increase our contributions, too.
Today Michels donated $15,000 to the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign, nearly double our pledged match of the first $8,000 collected during the Bucket Brigade donation drive. For the first time in 17 years, the Bucket Brigade collected donations at two locations in Fond du Lac instead of one.
“My family and I agree that if the Salvation Army can up its game to meet its campaign goal, so can we,” said Vice President Kevin Michels. “We believe in the Salvation Army’s compassionate mission and are proud to help them reach their goal.”
Michels has a strong tradition of supporting Salvation Army, and this year was no different. In addition to our financial support, our employees volunteered to ring bells at the new Bucket Brigade location on Main Street as well as at four community kettles on Dec. 1.
In addition to financial contributions in Red Kettles, the Fond du Lac Salvation Army is in need of bus tokens, Kleenex, socks and gloves to distribute at its warming shelter. Find out how you can help here.
