Michels "Mi-Promises" campaign makes safety personal
We’ve all made promises. But, have you ever really thought about what they mean? By definition, a promise is a declaration that you will do something.
At Michels, that fundamental promise is to work safely, keep a vigilant eye out for potential hazards, and return to our loved ones at the end of each day just as healthy as you were when you started work…or healthier.
During this summer’s busy construction season, Michels initiated our “Mi-Promises” campaign, a multi-faceted campaign focused on inviting our employees to make a personal commitment to their safety and the safety of those around them, whether at work or home.
“My family and I take our responsibility for providing training and resources to mitigate the risk of accidents and injuries personally,” said Pat Michels, President. “More importantly, we are relentless in the development of a safety culture that is embraced by everyone every day.”
The cornerstone of Michels’ safety initiative is to remind each employee of the main reason for working safely: To be able to enjoy spending time with loved ones doing activities we enjoy.
“One injury can significantly impact many lives and many futures. I think about that every day, and I implore all of our people to do the same.” said Sean Nicholson, Vice President of Health, Safety and Environment.
