Michels receives Excellence in Construction Award
Michels Corporation and our partners on the first phase of the Zoo Interchange reconstruction project in Milwaukee County received a 2016 Excellence in Construction Award from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Michels Corporation and Wisconsin Constructors II received the Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Highway Construction of a Mega Project.
The project required 900,000 cubic yards of excavation, 49 lane miles of concrete pavement, 14 structures and 21 retaining walls. All work was completed ahead of schedule deadlines.
"We are honored to be recognized for the high-quality work we do every day," said co-owner Tim Michels. "We take great pride in rebuilding infrastructure that will improve the quality of lives for many people."
Michels is currently working on the second phase of Zoo Interchange project.
