Spreading Holiday Cheer
This year has been tough for everyone. We hope we spread some holiday cheer by continuing our tradition of making charitable donations from coast to coast.
A few of the ways Michels and our generous people gave back to the communities in which we live and work include:
A $30,000 donation to the Fond du Lac Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. Michels Corporation and the Michels family are long-time supporters of the Salvation Army and its compassionate mission of helping those in need.
Our annual 12 Days of Giving campaign. People at dozens of our offices throughout the United States selected a local charity and gathered food, clothing, monetary donations and other needed items from Dec. 2-13.
More than 700 Michels employees working on the Enbridge Line 3 mainline replacement project in Thief River Falls, MN, donated $16,446 in cash, gift cards and toys to the local Christmas for Pennington County charity.
More than 150 members of a team building a pipeline spread near Philadelphia donated 5,158 pounds of food and water to the Chester County Food Bank to help those in need.
A crew building a pipeline facility in Corrigan, TX, donated $5,000 to the Salvation Army Angel Tree to provide gifts for local children.
Lomira School District Giving Tree. Our Brownsville team bought 150 gifts for 75 students in the local school district. This annual tradition started years ago when our CEO, Pat Michels, asked employees to give a donation to children in need instead of to him.
