Technical Proposal Writer

As a Technical Writer, your key responsibility is for developing proposal content in coordination with Project Managers, Contract Administrators, and Estimators. The Technical writer must be detailed oriented, highly organized, and possess strong time management skills. Critical for success are excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to multi-task and work within tight deadlines. Other duties and responsibilities include;

  • Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.
  • Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
  • Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
  • Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure and form documentation.
  • Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.

What it takes:

· Bachelors degree in English, Communication, Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (equivalent years of related experience also acceptable

  • 1-3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Solid experience with the MS Office Suite

· Utility construction experience preferred

  • A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record
