Large power lines run through a green wooded, rural area.

Moses-Adirondack Smart Path

Michels Power, Inc. removed and replaced two single-circuit 345kV transmission lines from the Moses Switchyard to the Adirondack Switching Station.

The 86-mile rebuild on existing right-of-way consists of two wooden H-frame circuits. Removal of the 1,572 structures resulted in more than 4.1 million pounds of scrap. The wood pole lines were replaced with 776 steel monopole structures (407 directly embed and 389 foundations), two 795 kcmil ACSR “Drake” conductors, and two 48‐fiber AC‐132/742 OPGW cables on the new single circuit.
