Congratulations to the 17 students who received $70,500 in scholarships from the Michels Scholarship Fund on Monday, June 13. In its 13-year history, the scholarship fund has supported Michels’ belief in the importance of life-long learning by presenting more than $395,000 in scholarships to employees, their dependents and their spouses.

The Robert H. Westphal Memorial Scholarship was presented to Hunter Walden. The scholarship is named in honor of the late Robert H. Westphal, a leader and advocate of continuing education throughout his 65-year career at Michels.
The Scholarship Fund is supported by donations from Michels employees. Established by the Michels family to help employees, their spouses and their children pursue continuing education, the Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to students pursuing university degrees as well as those participating in trade and technical programs.
