Scope

Michels designed and installed a foundation system for a local University. The facility is a four- and five-story building that sits on a slope that failed due to the weight of the building. As a result, the slope's stability had been compromised. To fix the issue, Michels and the general contractor decided that the building needed to be retrofitted with a foundation system that would separate the building from the slope. Michels' system took the weight of the building at the slope and put it onto 18 micropiles that extended 60 feet below grade.

Michels designed and built an Earth Retention System to provide global stability for a recreational and ski hill that had been experiencing multiple slope failures.
