I-94 Reconstruction

Scope

Michels simultaneously rebuilding and widening a 4.4-mile Central and 6.7-mile South segment of the project on I-94, a heavily traveled route linking between Chicago and Milwaukee. The roadway is being expanded from three lanes in each direction to four lanes plus widened shoulders. During peak paving operations, Michels has two large mainline crews and two smaller crews working along the project. Work was suspended during Wisconsin's winter.
