Scope

Michels installed 27 concrete caisson foundations ranging from 7 to 10 feet in diameter and up to 64 feet in depth and 73 direct embed excavations 5 feet in diameter and up to 36 feet in depth to support Michels' construction of a transmission line.

Projects

Michels worked with an East Coast utility company to transform a 240-acre site on top of a closed coal mine into a 230kV electrical substation. Michels constructed 240 7-inch micropiles with rock sockets and drilled 190 shafts with rock sockets.

Michels worked from barges to drill shafts to 60 inches in diameter and 17 to 22 feet deep while rebuilding a transmission line toppled by Hurricane Irma.
