MethodsExcavation Site preparation Building Aggregates
Michels performed extensive work to turn an 18-acre open field into a site suitable for construction of a large warehouse, parking lot and a storm water pond. During construction Michels cleared the site of 10,000 cubic yards of uncontrolled fill that had been dumped on the site, stripped 28,000 cubic yards of topsoil, cut and filled over 50,000 cubic yards of fill material in order to bring the building and surrounding site to subgrade. Michels also dug, and backfilled 2,000 lineal feet of foundation, placed 7,300 tons of aggregate in the building and 22,700 tons in the parking lots.
