Michels installed drilled shafts into the Fox River to facilitate replacement of a three span truss-swing railroad bridge. The crews drilled and poured caissons that measured eight feet in diameter by 50 feet in length, including a 10-foot rock socket. A barge mounted drill rig was used to install 10-foot permanent steel casings around each caisson.
