Grantline Relocation

Grantline Relocation

Scope

Michels was contracted to relocate a pipe line from the fog line (the solid white line on the outside right edge of the lane) in the east bound lane of Grant Line Road to approximately 200 feet to the south. This line relocation was in preparation for the Grant Line Road expansion project near the city and all utilities needed to be moved.

The work site was split into two locations. Segment one included 2,570 feet of 10-inch steel pipe placed in an open trench through a cattle rancher's fields with tie-in locations in Grant Line Road. Segment two included 1,522 feet of 10-inch pipe in a vineyard. That section also included a 132-foot jack-andbore under the road. The excavations ranged from 5 to 15 feet deep and were in silty clay.

Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.
