Site One Reconstruction

Site One Reconstruction

Scope

Michels Corporation performed multiple operations while reconstructing a road for Oneida Nations. Working in a residential subdivision, Michels removed and pulverized the existing pavement, which was stockpiled for reuse. Next, Michels excavated the road base, removed and replaced the existing storm sewer and built a retention basin. Michels then placed a new stone base and installed new curb, gutter and pavement. Michels relocated work when necessary to avoid damaging pre-existing underground utilities.

Projects

Michels designed and installed an Earth Retention System (ERS) for a new pedestrian tunnel that was bored under three live Metra and Union Pacific rail lines.
