Scope

Michels performed subgrade preparation and paving of approximately 38,534 square feet of a new asphalt access road, included excavation and grading for a new retention pond and substation subgrade preparation over an area of approximately 27,000 square feet. Installation of an anchored gabion mattress system was necessary to stabilize the 1:1 slope at the northeastern corner of the substation.

Michels constructed a 1,200-foot slurry trench near the riverward toe of a levee at the south end of the Bois de Sioux Golf Course.
