Scope
Michels worked in close proximity to live freight and pedestrian rail traffic and overhead rail signal lines to construct a temporary pedestrian train platform across the street from Silver Cross Field in Illinois. Michels used an excavator-mounted, high-reach vibratory hammer to install 460 linear feet of driven sheet pile within 20 feet of the live rail traffic. Michels also drove 12 3/4-inch diameter pipe pile to rock using a crane with swinging leads and a hydraulic hammer to support a prefabricated ramp to access the platform.
