Cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liners offer quick, safe and economical ways to rehabilitate deteriorating culverts. A critical component of transportation infrastructure, a culvert traditionally only receives attention when it fails. Michels helps you avoid that by using the trenchless CIPP technology to reline pipes. We efficiently install and cure our thermosetting resin-soaked liners with minimal or no traffic disruptions or open cuts. The result is a smooth, seamless new pipe within a pipe that can deliver increased flow capacity and extend the life of a culvert for many decades.

Projects

Michels rehabilitated a deteriorating corrugated metal pipe culvert under a busy roadway. Michels prepared the walls and floor and completed the spray application of 3-inch Millikin Geospray geopolymer mortar to the 128-inch-by-73-inch-by-75-foot culvert. In total, 68,000 pounds of material was mixed and applied.

Michels installed 180 feet of a cured in place pipe liner into a 60-inch segmental reinforced concrete culvert to restore its hydraulic integrity and repair areas where concrete was spalling and reinforcing steel was exposed.

Michels rehabilitated 75 linear feet of a 60-inch corrugated metal culvert pipe with 1-1/2" of geopolymer mortar spray-in-place pipe (SIPP) lining.Michels obtained the geopolymer mortar in dry form and mixed the material on-site prior to and during application.
