Quick Assessment and Implementation

When groundwater infiltration and contamination threatens safety and progress on a heavy civil construction site, Michels has the skills and expertise to quickly assess the situation, design an effective solution and implement it. We use a variety of groundwater control and treatment systems, including dewatering wells, wellpoints, eductors and sumps, to solve all of your groundwater challenges.

Our highly qualified teams have access to a large and varied inventory of pumping equipment as well as drill rigs, jet trucks, one-pass trenchers and support equipment.

Michels also designs and builds bypass pumping systems to temporarily reroute rivers, streams and sewers around active construction sites.

Projects

Michels rehabilitated a deteriorated culvert beneath the coal pile of an active power plant. Joint repairs on the culvert were completed prior to the application of a carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) wrap to reinforced and strengthened the existing culvert structure.
