Offenbach 110kV HDD

Michels Trenchless GmbH completed a 300-metre-long HDD in the inner city of Offenbach, Germany. Ground conditions that included clay with bands of limestone made drilling difficult, but the crew’s skill and determination overcame the challenges. A bundle of eight HDPE pipes were pulled in the final 91.44-centimeter borehole. These pipes will soon accommodate new 110 kV power lines.
