Michels ranks 13th on Wisconsin 75 list

For the ninth consecutive year, our commitment to delivering the safest, most reliable solutions for the world’s evolving energy and infrastructure needs has been recognized. Michels ranked 13th on Deloitte’s 2025 Wisconsin 75, an annual listing of Wisconsin’s largest privately held companies and their contributions to the state’s economy.

“Our innovative solutions and drive to take on larger and more complex projects has propelled us into an international leader,” said President Pat Michels. “As a Wisconsin-based company, we are proud to provide economic opportunities in our home state and beyond. I’m grateful for this recognition of our achievements—and for our people and customers who make the work happen every day.”

Since our founding in 1959 in Brownsville, WI, Michels has grown to more than 7,000 people, 18,000 pieces of heavy equipment, and more than 50 U.S. offices, allowing us to build solutions for safe, modern solutions throughout the world.

Through organic growth, strategic acquisitions, and an understanding of our customers’ current and future needs, we have expanded into the civil, energy, energy transition and renewables, foundations, marine, mission critical, transportation, and water and wastewater industries.
