Governor announces Michels' role in Foxconn construction

Gov. Scott Walker visited Michels today to announce that we have been selected to perform a significant amount of work in the first phase of construction at Foxconn’s display manufacturing facility in Mount Pleasant, Wis. Our scope includes constructing the roadways and immense building pads on the nearly 1,000-acre site.

Michels is honored to be part of the massive project, said Kevin Michels, Vice President.

“It is a game-changing project for the construction industry in Wisconsin,” he said.
Michels’ headquarters in Brownsville are about 70 miles north of Foxconn’s site in Mount Pleasant. However, our employees work throughout the state and country, and are well suited for the project.
In addition to bringing $100 million in contracts to construction companies in the state, Foxconn’s first phase will create many additional construction jobs at Michels and other top-performing state companies, Walker said.
