As a Shop Mechanic, your key responsibilities will be to perform basic tasks in repairing and maintaining vehicles and construction equipment. The Shop Mechanic will keep vehicles and equipment available for use by performing diagnostics and preventive maintenance including but not limited to engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, and replacing filters. Critical for success is the ability to work independently and, on a team, as well as communicate effectively.

What it takes:

  • 0-2 years of mechanical experience
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to weld (desired)
  • Diesel Mechanic Program completion (desired)
  • Forklift experience – training will be provided (desired)
  • Ability to move/operate heavy equipment (desired)
  • Ability to provide own basic hand tools
