As a Payroll Assistant, your key responsibilities include providing day to day administrative support to the department. This position will assist with various data collections to support payroll/union audits, maintaining payroll files and records, perform transactional data entry, process mail, handle incoming calls to the payroll department and route accordingly, and process verification of employment and unemployment claims.

What it takes:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Associate’s Degree in related field (desired)
  • Payroll or accounting experience (desired)
  • A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record (desired)
