Congratulations to Fraser MacKinnon, who received the 2025 Jack Cressey Future Leader Award at the Pipe Line Contractors Association of Canada (PLCAC) annual conference. The award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated significant leadership qualities in the pipeline industry.
Fraser is currently Office Manager, Major Projects. He joined Michels Canada in 2015 as a Payroll Assistant to help with field payroll on the Enbridge GTA Expansion Project in Toronto. He quickly assumed increased and varied responsibilities in field offices, progressing through all field office roles to now manage all field office administrative functions. Fraser is instrumental in resolving virtually all field labour concerns without need for escalation, a testament to his talents. His cooperative attitude has earned him respect from our union partners in British Columbia and across Canada.
“Fraser has already made many impactful contributions to our operations,” said Gary Ziehr, Vice President, Operations. “We look forward to his continued growth as a significant leader in the administration of Michels’ major projects.”
Frasier is Michels Canada’s fifth recipient of the prestigious award. Senior HSE Director Shannon Caron received the award in 2019.
