I-94 North-South Racine Kenosha Reconstruction
Michels Road & Stone, Inc. expanded 9 miles of freeway to four lanes in each direction with safety improvements, rebuilt existing bridges over local roads, and rebuilt an interchange.
The project involved 575,300 square yards of 12-inch concrete pavement and 1.12 million tons of aggregate produced by Michels mobile crushing spreads. A mobile recycle crushing spread was used on the right-of-way to convert old concrete into usable aggregates.
