Michels is proud to have a customer recognize our safety culture and grateful to crews who incorporate safety into all operations.
NIPSCO presented Michels with the Outstanding Safety Leadership Award for Field Operations during the Cooperative Contractor Safety Committee Annual Award Luncheon last week. The award is a testament to ownership, pride, professionalism, and teamwork our crews and project leaders put into successful implementation of a safety action plan—which led to no recordable safety incidents on Indiana NIPSCO projects in 2019.
Michels was selected out of more than 40 contractors. Congratulations to our fellow contractors, particularly the 31 others that also had no accidents this year. It is exciting to be surrounded by colleagues who share our commitment to safety.
