Vandaelle named Trenchless Person of the Year

Congratulations to Craig Vandaelle for being named the 2024 Trenchless Technology Person of the Year.

For more than 20 years, Craig has cultivated widely respected leadership roles in the trenchless industry through his relentless drive to push the industry forward. As Vice President of Preconstruction Services, he is directly involved with many projects, leading the evolution of the trenchless industry to include solutions for traditional and transitioning energy as well as transportation, water and wastewater markets.

Craig is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable advocate for the trenchless construction industry and the benefits of Early Contractor Involvement and Alternative Delivery contract models. He is actively involved in the Northern American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT) at the national and chapter levels, serving in volunteer and leadership positions since 2010 when he got involved with the Northwest Chapter for NASTT.

In a recent article in Trenchless Technology magazine, Craig credited Michels with allowing him the opportunity to learn trenchless techniques and manage trenchless projects, both in rehabilitation and new installation, alongside many industry stalwarts.

Established in 1993, the Trenchless Technology Person of the Year award is considered the most prestigious annual trenchless industry award.
