Join us at the Salvation Army Bucket Brigade Friday, Nov. 6
This year more than most we can all use a little Christmas to help bring 2020 to a close on a high note. But with nearly half of all community residents qualifying for economic assistance from the Salvation Army, needs are greater than ever. In fact, Santa and his elves need extra help so they can rescue Christmas and spread holiday cheer to everyone who needs it.
We are happy to help the Salvation Army of Fond du Lac reach its $170,000 Red Kettle goal by getting it off to a strong and early start with the 20th Annual Bucket Brigade drive-up donation collection from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov 6. KFIZ and 107.1 The Bull will spearhead the collection.
The Bucket Brigade will meet morning commuters on both the north and south ends of Fond du Lac, collecting at 254 Winnebago Drive as well as in The Shops at Cobblestone Square, 770 S. Main St. Our people will be along those volunteering as Bucket Brigade members at Cobblestone Square and three other Red Kettle locations throughout the day.
We are also proud to provide additional motivation by pledging a $20,000 match to all donations made at the collection site or through other non-contact options.
“Contributing to the Bucket Brigade is a Michels holiday tradition because we believe in the Salvation Army’s compassionate mission and the way it has a direct, powerful impact on our community,” said Kevin Michels, Vice President. “Because the need this year is greater than ever, we hope our matching grant encourages others to embrace the Christmas spirit and give what they can.”
