Post Rock to Spearville OPGW

Michels Power, Inc. replaced an existing shield wire with new optical fiber composite overhead ground wire (OPGW) wire on two separate 88- and 89-mile lane segments. Work totaled about 180 miles between the two segments in rural west/central Kansas.

Most of the aerial work needed completion via helicopter. The project traveled over several railroad and interstate crossings, requiring coordination between crews and the public.
