Scope

Michels Construction, Inc. completed ground improvement for a building addition project. The project included installation of 99 aggregate piers, each 30-inches in diameter and 8 to 16 feet deep. The site had approximately 6 to 12 feet of unsuitable fill material in the building area. Aggregate piers were selected as a cost-effective and streamlined solution versus the traditional soil correction methods. The aggregate pier installation was completed in only two days.
