We’ve all made promises. But, have you ever really thought about what they mean? By definition, a promise is a declaration that you will do something.

At Michels, that fundamental promise is to work safely, keep a vigilant eye out for potential hazards, and return to our loved ones at the end of each day healthy, or heathier, as we were when we started work.

During summer’s busy construction season, Michels initiated our Mi-Promise campaign, a multifaceted campaign focused on inviting employees to make a personal commitment to their safety and the safety of those around them, at work and home.

“My family and I take personally our responsibility for providing training and resources to mitigate the risk of accidents and injuries,” said Pat Michels, President. More importantly, we are relentless in the development of a safety culture that is embraced by everyone every day.

The cornerstone of Michels’ safety initiative is to remind each employee the main reason for working safely: To be able to spend time with loved ones doing activities we enjoy.

“One injury can significantly impact many lives and futures, I think about that every day, and I implore all our people to do the same,” said Sean Nicholson, Vice President of Health, Safety and Environment.
